Two days after his death, mother of the late Lebanese actor Fadi Ibrahim was announced dead.

The family of the late Lebanese actor Fadi Ibrahim, who passed away on Monday at the age of 67, is mourning another loss, as his mother also died on Wednesday, according to Al Markazia news agency.

Fadi Ibrahim’s mother, whose name was not disclosed, was reportedly suffering from a chronic illness and was unable to bear the grief of losing her son, who was a revered figure in the Lebanese and Arab entertainment industry.

Fadi Ibrahim died from complications of diabetes, after a long and courageous battle with the disease that cost him his left leg. He was known for his captivating performances and significant contributions to Arabic drama, with a career spanning over four decades and hundreds of roles.

He made his debut in the 1980s with the play ‘Al-Motwa7esh’ (The Savage), and went on to star in many successful and acclaimed series, such as ‘The Storm Blows Twice’, ‘The Last Days of Socrates’, ‘The King of the Sands’, and ‘The Road to Damascus’. He also appeared in several movies, such as ‘The Last Flight’, ‘The Night of the Generals’, and ‘The Last Tango in Beirut’.

He collaborated with some of the most renowned directors and writers in the Arab world, such as Marwan Najjar, Samir Habchi, Nabil Assaf, and Ghassan Kanafani. He also worked with many famous co-stars, such as Nadine Labaki, Abbas Jaafar, Youssef El Khal, and Cyrine Abdelnour.

He was widely admired and loved by his fans and peers, who praised his talent, dedication, professionalism, and humility. He was also known for his generosity and activism, supporting various causes and charities, especially for children and the disabled.

His death sparked a wave of condolences and tributes from across the Lebanese entertainment industry, as well as from political and religious leaders, who expressed their sadness and appreciation for his contributions to Lebanon’s culture and identity.

Many celebrities, such as Carla Haddad, Rabia Al Zayyat, Toni Issa, and Wissam Breidy, took to social media to share their memories and emotions, and to honor his legacy and impact.

Fadi Ibrahim’s funeral was held on Wednesday at his hometown of Baalbek, where thousands of mourners attended and paid their respects. His burial took place at the same cemetery where his parents and siblings are buried.

Fadi Ibrahim’s mother’s funeral is expected to take place on Thursday at the same location.
