Prominent Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo has attempted to gauge the opinions of his fans in regard to the songs he will include in his upcoming album. He has given them tastes of his new music on his personal website and at recent concerts. The singer feels the opinions of his fans is an essential factor to his success, and is out to please them.

Sources have revealed that some of the songs that were intentionally leaked will be the highlight of Abdo’s upcoming album.

Abdo, also referred to as the Arab Artist, announced that he refuses to sign a contract for exclusivity with any production company. The singer stressed that he did not sign a contract with Rotana granting them the exclusive rights to his music. The contract that he has with them states he will produce a set number of albums on preset dates, and the contract ends once these projects are completed.

According to the London based weekly, Laha, Abdo intends on launching a new satellite television channel that will feature music, as well as other programming.  Currently he is researching other satellite channels to identify what they are missing in terms of programs and services, so that he may offer them on his new channel.

Rotana suggested to Abdo the idea of singing a duet with prominent Lebanese singer Najwa Karam. Mohammad has accepted the proposal, on the condition that he composes the song and overseas the details of the project.

Najwa also accepted Rotana’s proposal and agreed to Mohammad’s conditions, stating that she respects Mohammad and his  worthy contributions to the music industry of the Arab world.
