The Lebanese artist Maya Nasri who has moved fast in the world of singing after her theatrical performances currently mulls performing a show that blends between both arts.
“Nobody achieves what he dreams of but if we stop dreaming, there will no meaning for life. I was dreaming of acting and I did it; I dreamt of singing and I am singing these days. I currently mull performing a theatrical show,” Maya told the daily al Hayat.
She added, “singing is more inclusive because it combines between the performance of the actress and sound of the singer. I did not quit acting as I still study at the university. Acting helped me in the musical videos as well as in standing in front of the camera. For example, I cannot convey feelings to the audience through the eyes.”
After wrapping up her last album Akhbarak Eih (What is Your News) Maya is gearing up to release an eight-song CD with different dialects. “The CD will include a different style and new sound pitches. I have begun enjoying my work after my experience had been enriched since two and half years,” said Maya -- Albawaba.com
