Lebanese model and popstress Maya Diab went to lengths to deny rumors of her divorce from husband Abbas, after the show "Heik Min Ghani" (This Is How We Sing) came to an unforseen halt.
No longer airing during the buzzing TV month of Ramadan, the show's screeching to a stop alerted viewer and media speculation that something was not quite right.
Three days apart does not a broken marriage make!
According to a report in Ya Majaz website, Maya laughed off such rumors when put to her by saying, "Ramadan Kareem, I wish a blessed month for everyone." She continued, through thinly veiled hostility to the gossip-mongers, revealing the 'story' as it were. "My husband was away for three days, and I was busy filming a new video clip. Should we just drop everything and sit together so that our 'nearest and dearest' won't spread rumors?" Sounding a little defensive and strained, perhaps, or putting the demons and smoke (with no fire) to rest?
Maya has indeed just finished filming the new video clip entitled, "It seems you don't know who I am" directed by the Lebanese Sa'ed Al Marouq. As her statement corroborates, the filming of the clip took three days.
The music number is due to air during the Eid holidays on various satellite channels. The song whose making has raised speculation into the artist's personal life was written and composed by Saleem Asaf and arranged by Danny Helou.
