It seems one of Lizzo's new year's resolutions was to reduce the amount of drama from her life, and she took a big step on Monday by taking a break from Twitter.

The 31-year-old Minneapolis-based singer took to social media on Monday, announcing she's done with the micro-blogging platform for now, but still hinting that she may be back in the future.

'Yeah I can’t do this Twitter s**t no more.. too many trolls... I’ll be back when I feel like it,' said the singer, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson.

The Truth Hurts songstress has 1.4 million followers on Twitter, with her tweet getting 4.2K retweets and 147.8K likes since she posted it on Sunday night.

While she hasn't completely deactivated her account yet, her Sunday night message seems to be the last fans will be hearing for the indefinite future.

The vocalist/flutist still has an active Instagram account, with over 7.3 million followers.

Before announcing her departure, she called out all of her trolls in a post.

As beloved as Lizzo is with her fans, she has also been a target for trolls and haters as she continues her rise through the music world.

She was bashed online in December when video surfaced of her courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game, twerking in a dress that had a cut-out revealing her thong.

Still, 2019 was a banner year for the singer, as her hit song Truth Hits hit #1 on the Billboard singles charts and she was also named Time Magazine's Entertainer of the Year.

Lizzo also made her Saturday Night Live debut on December 21, serving as the musical guest alongside host Eddie Murphy.

She is nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for the deluxe version of Cuz I Love You, Song Of the Year for Truth Hurts and Best New Artist.

Lizzo's eight nominations were the most for any artist, ahead of Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish who tied with six nominations apiece.
