No one has ever thought that the Lebanese people would affect the biggest Arab country in the Arab world Egypt, after the two popular programs screened in the past two years “Superstar, and Star academy”. In addition to the these two popular shows, one person, Lebanese actress Nicole Saba, who participated in Adel Imam's movie “A Dutch Experience”, was able to dominate the Egyptian society in ways beyond television screens.
Anyone visiting Egypt can easily realize the profound Lebanese effect all over the streets. One can see ads for original Lebanese products in addition to many restaurants beginning to offer authentic Lebanese cuisines as a way to attract people.
Egyptian females are also seeking Lebanese beauty salons, which have spread very fast in all Cairo districts, wanting to look like women in Lebanon. It seems that Egyptians are running after new trends to break the boring lifestyle and to do something new.
On a different note, Nicole has apologized to prominent Egyptian actress Yusra for not being able to accept the offer to star in her new film “Kalam Fil Hub” (Love Talk), due to the fact that she is occupied with her first solo album, which she released recently. Sources revealed that the real reason Nicole turned down Yusra was because she is looking for a film where she plays the leading role and one that does not depend on her looks or her being seductive.
Nicole stressed that she is looking for a role that will bring out her real acting talents and dose not depend on her outside appearance. She added that the role in Yusra’s film will not achieve her goal and so she decided to turn it down.
It was added that negotiations between Nicole and the makers of the film did not succeed due to the fact that the singer/actress demanded that alterations be made to the script to make her role more of a major rather than just a minor one.
Nicole stressed that she refuses to accept any role if it does not add to her acting career, at the same time she refuses to have a minor role in any film reflect negatively on her singing career. –Albawaba.com
