Layl series: All you need to know about the Arabic story of 'Safirin Kizi'

ALBAWABA - After the end of the 90-episode series "Salma", which was taken from the Turkish drama "Kadin" [woman], Shahid is releasing a new series called Layl in two weeks

The new Arabic series, Layl, is also based on the Turkish drama "Safirin Kizi" [The Ambassador's Daughter], which was aired in 2019.

Shahid released the first promo as filming continues in Turkey for the Arabic version of the famous Turkish series "Safirin Kizi," amid widespread interest from the Arab audience who are eagerly awaiting this new work.

In an official post on the Shahid platform's Instagram page, it reviewed its most prominent works and programs that will be shown during the current month of December, confirming that the Arabic version of the series "The Ambassador's Daughter" will start this month. 

The platform revealed that the series in its Arabic version will be called "Layl", and that it will begin to be shown starting from January 4th, 2026 at 8 p.m. on its digital platform and MBC channel.

Shahid announced that the show will premiere on January 4th, accompanied by a caption: "A love that began by chance… and ended with a struggle between the heart and fate. Will love triumph over pride?"

About 'Layl' series:

The series tells the love story of an ambassador's daughter and a poor man, separated by circumstances, before they reunite years later, and their love is reborn.
