Egyptian actress Laila Elwi is getting ready to star in a new drama series “Lailat Al Ro’yah” (Vision Night), written by Muhammad Jalal Abed Al Qawi and directed by Rabab Hussein.

Laila returned to work right after celebrating Valentine’s Day, with her Husband the famous Egyptian businessman Mansour Al Jamal, in Paris.

Elwi said that the new series is filled with action and romance.

Elwi plays the role of Amirah, a young middle class woman that lives in a low-income neighborhood.   She has hopes and dreams of going back to school to get a college degree.

According to the London daily Elaph, director Rabab Hussein said that audiences will see Elwi differently in this new project.  Hussein also directed the successful television drama series “Ya Ward Meen Yeshtireek” (Oh Flowers…Who Will Buy You), “Al Lailah Al Akheerah” (The Last Night), “Hadrat Al Mutaham Abi” (My Father The Accused) and “Haq Mashroo’” (Legitimate Right),
Elwi’s new role will evoke mixed emotions from the audience, said Hussein, and she is perfect for the part.  This is the first time the two are working together.
