ALBAWABA - The love song ballad "Die With a Smile," which Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars collaborated on for the first time, debuted as a standalone single and music video on Thursday.

Finally, after much speculation, the long-awaited duet between Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga is here.

On Friday, Aug. 16, the world-renowned pop artists released a new duet called "Die with a Smile," accompanied by a music video with a retro vibe. Mars starts to play the guitar and sing the lyrics in the first scene of the video. Later on, the camera pans out to reveal Lady Gaga, seated at a piano and smoking a cigarette. The two, dressed identically in denim and red, harmonize well with the accompanying band. Occasionally, Gaga emerges from behind the piano to dance, while flashing lights intensify the intimate setting.

The two singers verified the rumors with a social media post early Thursday, putting an end to days of speculation about a possible collaboration between Gaga and Mars.

In her statement, Gaga stated that she wrote the song for fans to listen to "while you wait for LG7," her eagerly awaited new album that has no set release date.

The two musicians' most recent singles, "Die With a Smile" and "Something More," have been out for quite some time. After releasing an album with Tony Bennett in 2021 and the smash single "Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick in 2022, Lady Gaga's last significant solo effort was 2020's Chromatica. Mars and Anderson's Silk Sonic collaboration shared two Grammys. In 2022, Paak will have released his first significant solo effort since 2016, which was over ten years ago.

The two artists were discussing the possibility of working together, and Bruno and I hold each other in the highest regard, Gaga said in a press statement. After a long day of working on my own record in Malibu, he invited me to his studio to listen to something he was working on. I arrived at approximately midnight and was astounded to hear what he had begun creating. We didn't get the song recorded or written until we remained up all night. Bruno has an indescribable skill. His vision and musicianship are unparalleled. His likeness is unparalleled.
