Kris Jenner was born in San Diego, California on November 5, 1955. She was the eldest of two children, her mom, Mary Jo Shannon -Known as M.J- and her father Robert True Houghton divorced when Kris was just 7 years old.

When Kris was still in San Diego, she worked at Shannon & Company, which was a children's store owned by her mom MJ. and in 1976, Kris worked as a flight attendant.
In 1978, Kris got married to lawyer Robert Kardashian, whom she shared 3 daughters and one son together, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob, the pair divorced in 1991, Robert died 12 years later of esophageal cancer.

Her world was shaken when her close friend Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered in 1994. Nicole's husband OJ Simpson was the prime suspect, but wasn't convicted - Kris has always openly declared his guilt. Robert Kardashian served as a member of OJ's legal team.

Jenner met with Ryan Seacrest in 2007 to pursue a reality television show based on her family. Seacrest, who had his own production company, decided to develop the idea, having the popular family-based show The Osbournes in his mind. The show eventually was picked up to air on the E! cable network with Jenner acting as the executive producer.

Kris Jenner's first relationship was during her teenage years when she was 17, the momager dated Mexican professional golfer Cesar Sanudo, the athlete was 11 years older than her then, and he popped the question to Kris when she was 19, however, by then Kris had met lawyer Robert Kardashian. Sanudo was travelling a lot for his job, which meant Kris and Robert could allegedly meet up in secret while he was away.

Kris ended up marrying Kardashian in 1978. at one point, Robert and Kris broke up, and Kardashian began dating Elvis Presley's ex-wife Priscilla, and during that time, Kris dated a photographer named Alfred Garcia.

Soon after, Kris and Robert rekindled their romance, and had four children together, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob, they stayed together for 13 years before filing for divorce in 1991.
In an autobiography, Kris confessed to having an affair with a man named Ryan, and that was when Robert found out, and the pair got divorced. They remained close friends until Robert's death from oesophageal cancer in 2003, four years before the first episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired in 2007.
