ALBAWABA - Katy Perry's new tour launch left fans confused and disappointed.

As evidenced by viral recordings of the pop star's 2025 tour kickoff on Wednesday night, which featured a significant amount of mediocre, low-effort dancing, Katy Perry may still be adjusting to Earth's gravity after little over a week in space.

Perry's "Lifetimes Tour," which accompanied the release of her lackluster 2024 comeback album, 143, began with the performance, which was the start of a three-night engagement at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The act is a little cerebral, with a hazy plot based on a computer game about Perry, a "half-human, half-machine," facing off against an "all-powerful AI called the Mainframe," according to fan-uploaded video of the performance.

More plot details, such as the fact that the Mainframe has stolen the world's butterflies and that dogs are turning away from humans in favor of cats, are revealed in a narrated exposition at the start of the show. However, despite all of the half-baked narrative, the stage show itself appears to have completely failed at the "cool dancing" component of any classic pop show.

"Send her back to space!"

Following Katy Perry's incredible "What was she thinking?" "Lifetimes Tour" debuted on Thursday night; many people on social media are expressing that. That cringe is real.

The 40-year-old's dancing skills and performance were summed up nicely by one individual who tweeted, "Maybe instead of going to space, she should have been rehearsing her fight scene moves a little more." Naturally, Perry made headlines around the country last week when she boarded Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin voyage, which was the first all-female spaceflight. A source closer to Katy told People that she should apologize after being attacked by seemingly everyone, including Wendy's, which only served to further distance her from the internet and make her a target for more trolling.

The "Fireworks" singer was ridiculed in another video that went viral right away for a set that seemed incredibly poor and cost-cutting. The video shows her running around with what appears to be a fake Star Wars lightsaber and fending off dancers dressed as ghosts. Let me tell you, it's really captivating!

Don't worry if that doesn't make sense; the crowd was also unaware of what was happening, as the former American Idol judge is still trending on social media for all the wrong reasons.

The good news for fans is that many of them might not be affected by Katy's dull and ridiculous performance since they aren't attending the events. Following the pop singer's dismal "143" album release, which did worse in cinemas than Snow White, some gigs were still almost 50% unsold recently.

All I know is that if Wendy decides to keep corresponding with Perry, they will have a TON of stuff, so I can't wait until whoever manages their social media accounts wakes up.
