ALBAWABA - Shonen Jump's newest top manga, Kagura Bachi has surpassed Gegi Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen on Shueisha's official comic-reading platform, Manga Plus!
Takeru Hokazono's manga has been trending among Shonen Jump fans thanks to the countless hilarious memes posted on social media platforms, interesting storylines, and characters.
Memes include the manga already receiving an anime and a video game adaptation although only five chapters are out of the manga and the famous Chihiro sword stance in different costumes like One Piece's Luffy.
It tells the story of Chihiro, a son who trains under his famous Japanese swordsmith father. In a sudden turn of events, tragedy strikes leaving Chihiro on the road of revenge.
Kagura Bachi surpasses Jujutsu Kaisen!
The manga currently sits in second place surpassing Jujutsu Kaisen with the recent release of its fifth chapter in a record-high 897,889 views which is 20,000 more viewers than Gege Akutami's work.
Some fans took to a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice the reason Kagura Bachi Surpassed Jujutsu Kaisen:
- Jujutsu Kaisen had a break week giving Kagura Bachi the time and spotlight.
- Others said that it would never surpass the top six if Black Clover wasn't seasonal and Boruto a monthly manga.

In our opinion, we believe that Kagura Bachi deserves all of the spotlight because of its stunning art by Takeru Hokazono, interesting storyline, and characters.
It's good seeing new talent like Takeru Hokazono coming up in Shonen Jump's NEXT WAVE since their biggest manga including Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia and One Piece are on their final arc.
