Lebanese singer Julia Boutrus has turned down an invitation from the organizers of the popular show “Star Academy”, which is featured weekly on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC). Julia’s first excuse for not wanting to be held a guest on the show was the mere fact that she is currently extremely busy these days and that she rarely accepts such invitations.
According to the London based Elaph, Julia revealed that she does not support such shows as Star Academy that extensively trains individuals to be stars in the entertainment world, and simply believes that a talent is naturally born with a person. She added that the idea of an institution taking credit for the creation of artists does not suit her and strongly believes that life is what creates a singer or a star.
Botros recently released her latest album, which has so far witnessed enormous success. All the songs were written by Nabil Abu Abdou and were composed by Botros' brother, Ziad, and features a variety of romantic songs
In her past albums, Botros dedicated some songs to such issues as patriotism and freedom - matters, which according to her, people need to further hear about. Nasheed el Horiyi (The Anthem of Freedom) is one of Julia’s greatest songs ever, which she dedicated to the liberated detainees of the southern Lebanese Khiam camp. -Albawaba.com
