Lebanese singer Juana Malah has revealed that she has officially broken her contract with her production company Ranad and is in the process of negotiating with another company. The singer also announced that she is currently preparing the songs for her upcoming album and has in fact recorded some.
According to the London based Elaph, Juana stressed that she will not reveal all the details of the new album, but assured that it will be better than the previous one. The singer added that the new album will feature seven different songs, in which she will film two in the form of a video clip.
The singer noted that the reason behind her album containing only seven songs is due to the fact that she concentrates on presenting something that holds value and will meet people's expectations of her. Juana also revealed that the types of songs in her album are a mixture of romance, classical and modern.
Juana denied recent rumors that she intends on holding a duet with another singer in the near future, adding that the time for it has not come yet.
A live concert by Juana was cancelled at last minute in Beirut for mysterious reasons. The band had already begun playing and awaiting the appearance of the singer on stage, but after waiting for some time it was apparent that the Juana would not be performing.
The concert, organized by the Lebanese Association for Senior Citizens, had witnessed a large number of audience, among which were the participants of the Lebanese satellite channel Future show “Super Star”. After extensive investigation into the matter of cancellation, it was revealed that the sponsor of the concert had taken all the proceeds from the ticket sales and ran off untraced. At this point the organizers of the event were forced to apologize to the audience and cancel the performance of the singer.
Juana on her part regretfully apologized for the entire incident saying that what had happened negatively reflects on her reputation and the reputation of tourism in Lebanon.
Juana expressed that she would never dare to film a music video like the one Lebanese Alissa did for the song “Ajmal Ihsas” (The Best Feeling), saying she has too much dignity for such a degrading work. She added that her conservative and Arab background and prohibit her from filming such a clip, which is against all her ethical values. Juwana also noted that she does not feel that the audience would respect or appreciate her if she did undergo such music videos.
The singer revealed that she does not consider Haifa Wahbi to be a singer in the least bit. She added that Haifa is a mere performer, who through her outer appearance and manner of performing while attempting to sing won some popularity. Juana noted that she has respect for Haifa for admitting her lack of ability as a singer and is attempting regardless of the fact. –Albawaba.com
