ALBAWABA - As pre-orders officially go live for GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) ahead of its November 19 release, reports indicate that the most anticipated game of 2026 has already been banned in several countries due to strict censorship laws and sanctions.

According to Twisted Voxel, GTA 6 will reportedly be banned in China, Russia, Taiwan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and Lebanon. GTA 5 faced a similar fate when it launched, as it faced both censorship and outright bans over its depiction of violence, drugs, prostitution, explicit language, and sexual content.

However, there are workarounds for players who wish to play the game in the affected countries by purchasing it digitally from an account set in another region. Rockstar already announced that GTA 6's physical copies will only contain a download code, rather than a CD.

What will GTA 6's $100 Ultimate Edition include?

Rockstar's upcoming open-world game will launch with two editions: the standard for $80 and the Ultimate for $100, which will offer users "the most immersive GTA experience yet" by featuring premium vehicles, weapons, cosmetics, and access to activities throughout Jason and Lucia's story.

The developer added in an announcement that players who pre-order the digital versions of GTA 6 will be able to pre-load the game on November 12, ahead of its November 19 release.
