The emergence of so many new singers to the scenes has many to formulate a negative opinion regarding the quality and extent of talent of those who claim to be rising stars. Lebanese singer Juana Malah, whose popularity saw a downturn due to some female singers that are taking the spotlight, did not think twice about giving her opinion on the styles and manner of her female colleagues.

According to the Arab magazine Sayidaty, Juana's opinion of Lebanese singers Haifa Wahbi, Alissa, and Nancy Ajram is that they are not talented and use their looks and seductive ways to obtain popularity, and they create no form of challenge for her. With regards to Alissa, Juana stressed that the techniques used are too demeaning for women and she would not stoop to such levels to be popular.

Juana expressed that she would never dare to film a music video like the one Alissa did for the song “Ajmal Ihsas” (The Best Feeling), saying she has too much dignity for such a degrading work. She added that her conservative and Arab background and prohibit her from filming such a clip, which is against all her ethical values. Juwana also noted that she does not feel that the audience would respect or appreciate her if she did undergo such music videos.

The singer revealed that she does not consider Haifa to be a singer in the least bit. She added that Haifa is a mere performer, who through her outer appearance and manner of performing while attempting to sing won some popularity. Juana noted that she has respect for Haifa for admitting her lack of ability as a singer and is attempting regardless of the fact.

Juana's opinion of Nancy is in some ways more tolerable since in her point of view she still considers Nancy to be a performer, but admits she has some talent. Juana's honesty is not an attempt to lash out other singers, but is merely her honest opinion of the quality of singers out today.

Malah has made it a point throughout her career to always appear in a new style and present something different to her fans. After the success of her last album, Juana has decided to release a number of hits each one by itself. She recently released a single that was aired on most TV and radio stations around the Arab world, finding a huge success.

Juana will be releasing a second single in the very near future, in which she hopes it will find the success she has come accustomed to. The singer added that she tends to release her songs gradually instead of all at once due to the fact that she feels that a song that is released as a single and not in a complete album is appreciated more. –Albawaba.com
