Instagram sensation and fashion blogger Negin Mirsalehi announced over the weekend that she would be the ambassador of Lebanese designer Rami Kadi for the Style Arabia Awards.
“Rami is such a sensational and innovative designer and therefore I’m honored to support him in this amazing journey. I cannot wait to see what he will be revealing,” the Iranian-Dutch blogger wrote on her Instagram account.
She attached the caption to a picture of her wearing a dress from Kadi’s latest glow in the dark collection “Lucioles,” (French for fireflies), which he presented at the Paris Fashion Week in July.
Kadi and Lebanese designer Hussein Bazaza were chosen among the six finalists to compete for the Fashion Prize 2015 organized by Style Arabia and the Dubai Design and Fashion Council in partnership with online fashion boutique Farfetch.
Kadi is considered one of the young rising stars of the fashion industry in the region. Lebanese stylist and fashion expert Hadia Sinno describes him as “a real talent with a new and modern vision.”
Kadi graduated from Beirut’s Esmod fashion school in 2008, then launched his own studio in 2011 including his first boutique, where he displays his own creations.
Kadi and Mirsalehi first announced they were collaborating together during the Paris Week in July. Since then, she posed in several of his creations, which she posted on her Instagram feed. Over the weekend she called on her 2.3 million followers to vote for Kadi. “We need your help,” she wrote.
Twenty-six-year-old Mirsalehi studied international business administration for her bachelor’s degree and earned a master’s degree in marketing. After finishing her studies, Mirsalehi decided to become a fashion beauty lifestyle blogger.
She took to social media websites such as Instagram and Snapchat to highlight her refined sense of style.
Mirsalehi gets fashion inspiration from magazines, other bloggers and street style.
Her fashion icon is American socialite Olivia Palermo.
