According to the London daily Elaph, the great Egyptian actress Hind Rostom was admitted to the hospital last Saturday after having a heart attack.  Only her members have been allowed to visit.

Rostom was described as a seductive queen in the early days of her acting career. She first started in the film “Al Malik Al Thalem” (The Cruel King) in 1954.

The following year she started in “Banat Al Lail” (Night Girls), also staring the famous Egyptian actor Kamal Al Shinawi.

Back then Rostom was competing with the other great Egyptian actress Faten Hamamah. Her films earned great profits.

Rostom is now retired and during a recent interview she said that she wakes up early every day and drinks a cup of tea while reading the newspaper.

“I look out for my family and their well being, and I feel very proud for choosing the right road,” said Rostom.  She also said that she is greateful to have married her husband Dr. Fayad.
