Nowadays, Syrian singer George Wassouf makes more headlines for his deteriorating health and drunken performances than he ever does for his musical achievements.

While rumors are still flying that George's doctors have advised him against singing for more than 40 minutes at a time, he's come out to clear the air about what's really happening.

The singer assured his fans that he is able to sing for over an hour at a time, adding that he's recently done that at numerous concerts in Beirut, the Middle East and Europe.

That means there's no worrying about the star when he returns to Egypt in concert after a 15-year hiatus!

"Thank God I feel fine. Maybe my doctors are just worried that I'm going to feel exhausted (in Cairo), but I'll be just fine with my beloved Egyptians, with all my power, art and heart," George said, according to Al Nashra News.
