Egyptian actress Hanan Turk has announced that she has halted the filming of her upcoming film “Shakira Fil Muneera”, which she was scheduled to shoot during the holy month of Ramadan under the direction of Ahmad Midhat. Hanan stressed that the sudden announcement of not wanting to continue the work is due to production problems and she refused to elaborate on the matter.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, the business manager of famous international Lebanese-Colombian pop-star Shakira has made a promise to the cast of the film that Shakira will make a guest appearance in one of the scenes. It was revealed that Shakira would make her appearance in the film in the scene where a competition is held among numerous girls to see who resembles the popular singer most.
Shakira was to appear in the film during her visit to Egypt, where she is scheduled to hold a grand performance. Shakira has given her initial acceptance to hold a concert in Egypt this coming September on the Pharaoh Stage at the Media Production City. The same company that had sponsored the concerts of Enrique Iglesias and Blue has recently made contacts with Shakira for holding her first concert ever in Egypt. -Albawaba.com
