Even though her show “Fawazier Halima” (Halima’s Riddle Show), aired on the Kuwaiti channel last Ramadan season was harshly criticized, the Kuwaiti journalist Halima Boland is working on the second installment to be aired next Ramadan.  The show is titled “Halima 2” and will be filmed in Lebanon at the beginning of next year.

According to the London daily Elaph, Halima will be working with the same crew, including director Muhammad Abed Al Nabi, writer Elham Abed Al Salam Amin, and designer Atef Awad.

Halima traveled to Cairo to attend a celebration for Saudi Princess Samaher, daughter of Prince Turkey Bin Abed Al Aziz.

Halima admits that she has faced positive and negative criticism for her work as a television broadcaster over the past five years, and said that she is going the through the same process in regard to her acting career. Halima said that she is fortunate to have her husband by her side supporting her.  “He encourages me, because he believes in me,’ said Halima.

Halima also said that critics have given her a clear idea of her mistakes and how she can improve.  She hopes to give an even better performance next Ramadan.

Halima denies that she was imitating Egyptian actor Sharihan, famous for her show “Fawazir Ramadan.” She stressed that she brought her own personality and style to her work and did not imitate anyone, said Halima.

Halima has received a number of Egyptian film offers, but has yet to select one.
