Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Raziq has refused to comment on a recent statement by Lebanese singer Elissa regarding the theme song for Ghada’s latest television spectacle Ma Sibq Al Israr” (With Prior Insistency). Elissa is reported to have said that she regrets singing the song but Ghada is saying that she is “shocked” by such a statement.
According to the actress, no one can change Elissa’s opinion, but she cannot hide her disappointment that the Lebanese songstress would say such as thing as the song has seen significant success across the Arab world.
Ghada also said that she had insisted that Elissa sing the theme song, as believes that it really can make a difference to a shows success, especially if sung by a respected artist. In a final twist to the tale, Ghada announced that she had paid Elissa from her own pocket to avoid any further burden on the production company behind the successful drama.
