Egyptian actress Ghada Adel was looking like a sure bet for hit series 'Khutoot Hamra' (Red Lines). In fact, lead star Ahmed al Sakka was said to be begging for Ghada to star opposite him. So when she turned the part down, fans were shocked and Ahmed was more than a little disappointed.

Now it turns out she wasn't snubbing the Red Lines cast and crew. Instead she couldn't get herself out of an already ongoing project: the actress was filming her role in 'Sir Alani' (Exposed Secret.)

According to the internet website MBC.net, Ghada said that she was very keen to get involved in Red Lines, particularly as she would have been starring opposite Ahmed al Sakka: the pair have made beautiful music together in the past with hit show, 'Ibn al Qunsil' (Son of the Counselor.) But alas, Ghada said there was no way she could be filming for two dramas simultaneously. Better luck next time Ghada!
