She denies it all but the rumors continue about Elissa's concert at the Hockey Stadium in Cairo, which apparently went badly wrong. The Lebanese star is a big name across the Arab world but has stirred up trouble in the past for charging concert organizers an arm and a leg to get her on stage.
According to reports from the concert, Egyptian fans were none too pleased to be paying over the odds for an Elissa show and decided to boycott the event instead. Organizers were forced to open the doors to the public for free to try and avoid an embarassing no-show for the Lebanese singer.
Elissa told MBC.net it's all vicious lies and that her concert was packed out with fans eager to pay the full ticket price. She has also denied claims that she photoshopped in a live audience in order to air the concert exclusively to a satellite channel. Pictures from the star's official Facebook page confirm that plenty of Egyptians turned up but critics say there's no smoke without fire and rumors persist of irregularities at the Hockey Stadium concert.
