George Al Rassi made an appearance on LBCI and LDC's "Almottaham" program and responded to his ex-wife's accusations about their married life.
Back in February, Joelle Hatem informed her Facebook followers that she and George had split. A few hours later, the Lebanese model had a chance to calm down and awkwardly retracted her shocking social media status.
In the end, their marriage didn't work out, and the two have officially parted ways. But not for the reasons Joelle has claimed, says George.
On the TV show, George assured that he's not the moody man his second wife had made him out to be. That's right, second wife. The songster surprised fans with the announcement that he had said "I do" already before het met Joelle.
George also defended the claim that he had married Joelle because of her dad’s wealth, saying, “I work, and I have my own parties. This is inappropriate for me and for Dr. Hatem, but maybe she is used to a certain lifestyle that I couldn’t provide somehow. She wants to live by her parents, but I couldn’t secure a house in Achrafieh. I tried to maintain my marriage responsibilities. I focused a lot on my work to make that happen, so I didn'’t have to lean on anyone else."
The former couple aren't enemies, still, he explained. They were in love, and they have little baby Joe to look after.
"I apologize again for talking about my personal life on media. Maybe I am trying to fix a mistake with a bigger one, but I have to tell my fans my position in all of this. I even tried with her parents to preserve this marriage and fix any mistakes we went through."
