Social media rumors can either make or break you, and they almost broke actress Laila Elwi this week.
The 55-year-old Egyptian-Greek starlet was accused of getting chummy with the Israeli Ambassador in Cairo, which turned out to be totally untrue.
The picture circulated of her on the Internet, where she is supposedly seen kissing the Ambassador, is not even of the Ambassador.

It is of Ahmad Ashraf Marwan, who happens to be former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser's grandson, and a close family friend of Laila and her family.
Laila was kissing Ahmad on the cheek to congratulate him on getting married. In fact, the picture was taken at his WEDDING!
So what you might have thought was the Kiss of Death for Laila, turned out to be the Kiss of Love.
