Are you ready for what we're about to tell you?

Big news for boy band "The 5" and their fans, as they've been snatched up by one of the world's hottest music labels.

Despite not winning The X Factor Arabia in June, the pan-Arabian band has been signed by Sony Music Entertainment Middle East (SME ME) on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Platinum Records will be managing the lads.

We've always known that this talented bunch will go on to do big things beyond the singing competition; they are the Arabic version of global sensation "One Direction," after all!

“At Sony Music, we are passionate about breaking young artists and believe in The X Factor as an unrivalled platform for talent. We already have some exciting plans in the pipeline for The5 and are looking forward to working with our partners Platinum Records,” said Mike Fairburn, general manager of SME ME.

And the best news is? You won't have to hold your breath for too long before The 5's first single is out. According to Gulf News, the band’s first single and music video is scheduled to launch in September. Awesome!
