Renowned Egyptian actor Foad Al Muhandis has passed away at the age of 82. The actor had been suffering from a number of ailments that deal with old age in addition to a sever case of depression that hit him after the death of his life long friend actor Abdul Mun’em Madbooli last month.
Foad had contributed half a century of his life to his acting career and took part in numerous plays, films, and television dramas.
The late actor had begun acting at an early age and decided to enter the entertainment world after watching comedy plays.
Earlier this year, Foad was hospitalized after suffering from a coma but was later sent home after receiving orders from doctors to avoid any activity that may exhaust him and to get as much rest as possible.
Doctors that supervised his condition revealed that he was improving gradually, but stated that he had been experiencing deterioration in his health for the past five years. He had several eye surgeries done, in addition to facing difficulties with his heart.
Before falling into a coma, the actor was in the process of recording his life story for a new drama series for one of the Arab satellite channels. The series was to be completely recorded in Foad's voice and numerous guests from the entertainment world, whom he has encountered throughout his career. The actor was to reveal all the details of his career that are already known to people in addition to ones that have been kept secret over the years.
