According to Palestinian "Dunia Al Watan" website, devoted Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfik is currently studying the best techniques for reciting the Holy Quran, so that he can introduce more religious verse into his music, inspired by a devout Muslim life.
He is seeking the expert help of one of the Sheiks of Al-Azhar in homeland Egypt to help him with the correct manner of recitation.
Tawfik who lets spiritual strains seep into his music, confirmed that he would like to record a recitation of the Holy Quran in his own voice. Since the idea has been playing on his mind for a couple of years now, he is hoping to begin and execute the project as soon as possible. He ultimately plans to pave the way to retiring from the genre of romantic and social-themed songs.
