Looks like Armenian belly dancer Safinaz would do anything to stay in Egypt, and we mean 'anything'!
And her 'anything' was to marry Egyptian Ahmad Abdelazeem, owner of a tourism company in Egypt, in order to grant herself the Egyptian residency. Her plan has sadly backfired!
The scandal-ridden dancer presented the Family court in Dokki, Cairo with her marriage certificate to Abdelazeem, but it was rejected by the court on Sunday.
Safinaz will remain an Armenian, for now, despite her husband confirming the authenticity of their customary marriage to the court.
