The success of former Lebanese singer Nicole Saba in the Egyptian film “Al Tajruba Al Denmarikieh” (A Dutch Experience) alongside Egyptian comedian actor Adel Imam has opened the gateway for a very promising career in the acting world. Since Nicole starred in the film she has received an influx of film offers from different directors expressing their desire to have her costar in their films.

According to the London based Elaph, Nicole has so far received over 10 different offers to star in films and even television series. It was noted that the directors have nominated Nicole for their films not merely due to the fact that she is a beautiful young lade, but rather because she has proved her capabilities as in actress.

Nicole has revealed that turned down an offer to star in the new film under the direction of controversial Egyptian director Enas El Dughaidi, after she had read the script and realized that the role does not suit her. Nicole stressed that the role in the film calls for someone who is very daring and willing to act seductively, a matter which she feels is not part of her character.

Nicole revealed that Enas had personally called her presenting her with an offer to star in the film “Al Bahithat An Al Hurya” (Seekers of Freedom), which she had at first showed interest in, but after reading the entire script gave her refusal. The singer/actress stressed that she is hoping of one day starring in an Egyptian film alongside prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki, whom she feels to be one of the greatest and most talented actors of today.

Nicole announced that she will begin preparations on her new album after completing her first acting experience in the Egyptian film “A Dutch Experience” alongside prominent Egyptian comedian-actor Adel Imam.

Nicole stressed that she had previously planned to begin work on her first album after going solo, being a former member of the Lebanese band the Four Cats, but had to postpone all plans until she completed work in the film to ensure complete dedication. She added that now she has found the time to complete recording all the songs for her upcoming album, which she hopes to release in the near future in Lebanese and Egyptian markets.

Saba was attacked by critics for her first experience in the Egyptian cinema in the film “Al Tajruba Al Denmarkieh” (A Dutch Experience), in which she stars in alongside Egyptian comedian-actor Adel Imam. Nicole’s cloths in the film were considered by many to be too revealing and too seductive for an Arab film, and were said to be inappropriate.

Nicole had stressed that her role in the film, which was as a European woman who came to Egypt, called for such cloths to be worn in order to stress the amount of freedom the West has. With regards to the sexual topics tackled in the film, Nicole expressed that the film is about two cultures colliding and the talk of sexuality was done in order to educate saying that there was not one obscene in the film but rather the entire film was daring, but at the same time respectful.

Nicole had denied that there was to be a scene in the film where she and Adel are in a very intimate possession in a bedroom, and said that no one can force her to undergo anything she does not agree to. She added that she knows her nomination for the role in the film was made based on her outer looks, but has no problem with that since the outcome of the film proves that not looks alone brought her success, but her talent to act.

The singer/actress revealed that after her experience with Adel in the film, she refuses to accept any offers to star in any new film that is not up to the same standards of “A Dutch Experience”. Nicole has already been offered to play in a number of Egyptian films, after she has proved her capabilities as an actress. Nicole has stressed that she will not make a decision until she is certain that her film “A Dutch Experience” proves success and finds acceptance among viewers.
