Renowned Egyptian pop-star Amr Diab has just completed the recording of a new duet with internationally known singer Jennifer Lopez. Amr also appeared in a new soft drink commercial with Jennifer.
Amr revealed that he is currently preparing to film the song “Wahashtini” in the form of a music video in Lebanon under the direction of international director. The singer stressed that the song will have a slow romantic theme to it.
The singer added that he has not begun working on his new album, because he wants to add new ideas to it that will satisfy the taste of everyone in the Arab world and abroad. Amr stressed that he wants to become internationally known through his music.
Amr announced that his new album will feature a variety of style featuring oriental and western tunes. Amr has laid down the basic guidelines he will follow in his new album in order to complete it in the soonest time possible.
Diab had signed a contract with one of the television production company to star in a new drama series, on the condition that all preparations are done in complete secrecy. Amr refused to reveal any details regarding the new drama stressing that he wants his debut on the silver screen to be a surprise to all his fans.
Diab is in the number one spot on the most recent list of the ten richest Arab singers. The singer’s wealth amounts up to 37 million US dollars, which is more than Lebanese diva Fairouz’s assets that total 34 million US dollars.
