The sky’s the limit for those who enjoy a lavish lifestyle and plan on celebrating New Year’s Eve at some of Dubai’s most elite venues.

Celebrating the midnight countdown with glitz and glamour, people will be watching Dubai’s skies light up with a dazzling show of fireworks, while dining in splendour. Gulf News takes a look at some of Dubai’s high-end spots that will be attracting the city’s socialites.

Repeatedly voted the world’s most luxurious hotel, Dubai’s seven-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab, will be offering its in-house guests a night to remember at any of its nine restaurants and bars.

The 70-storey hotel will be charging Dh7,950 per person for a cocktail reception, full dinner and one of the best views for the spectacular firework display at the Burj Khalifa. Guests can also enjoy a circus-themed show and a range of performances throughout the night. The hotel is also putting on its own fireworks display.

Others will dance the night away at Dubai’s Music hall located in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island, where guests will be entertained with an international music show, a full dinner and unlimited beverages. The night will start at 7pm and continue until the early hours of New Year’s Day with rates starting at Dh4,500 per person.

Those who choose to be at the heart of the fireworks display will be dining at At.mosphere located on the 122nd floor of the highest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa. Surrounded by the opulent fireworks show, guests will enjoy an eight-course set menu and a beverage bottle at a cost ranging between Dh3,000 and Dh4,000 per person.

Couples, who prefer to share a quiet and romantic atmosphere away from the crowds, can savour an unforgettable night viewing the ocean at Al Qasr Hotel’s Pierchic Restaurant. The winner of the best romantic restaurant in Dubai for 2013, located opposite the Burj Al Arab, will offer couples a five course-set menu, along with a dessert buffet and a beverage bottle at Dh3,700 per person.

For those who want a front-seat view of what might be the largest firework display in the world, Atlantis, The Palm, is the place to be at midnight. With no budget in mind, some will dine at one of the finest Japanese restaurants in the city, Nobu. With a live DJ to rock the house, guests will savour a delectable Japanese set menu with an unlimited selection of beverages for Dh2,600 per person.
