ALBAWABA - American actor Drake Hogestyn, who starred for 40 years in 'Days of our Lives,' passed away on Saturday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
According to American stories, Drake Hogestyn was expected to celebrate his 71 birthday on Sunday, September 29, but he died a day before his birthday.
'Days of our Lives' released a statement on Instagram mourning the death of the American actor, it wrote, that Drake Hogestyn "passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones."
The statement reads: "It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Drake Hogestyn." "He was thrown the curve ball of his life when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but he faced the challenge with incredible strength and determination."

According to US media, the Day of Days fan gathering is expected on November 2 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California as doors will open at 10 a.m. PT.
This year, the show marks its 60th season as it was first launched in 1965 with 14,940 episodes since August 30.
Days of Our Lives takes place in the city of Salem. The main families on the show are the Bradys, the DiMeras and the Hortons.
