ALBAWABA - After stealing the show from Kelly Rowland in their confrontation, the security officer at the Cannes Film Festival grabbed headlines once again when he escorted Dominican actor Massiel Taveras off the red carpet.

A video of the altercation has gone viral, and many are furious about it online.

The video that went viral shows Taveras dressed in a white gown that had a train and a picture of Jesus Christ on it. As she makes her way up the stairs, the actor-model attempts to mend her train. The security guy, however, stood in her way and demanded that she leave.

The video also shows Taveras visibly distressed because the security guy won't let her pose. As soon as she reaches the top of the stairs and turns to wave, the security guard attempts to spin her around by holding her shoulder. When she gets too close, Taveras pushes the guard away.

After receiving criticism for the security guard's actions, the account @PopCrave shared the video on X, which went viral with over 23.2 million views. "That security guard is clearly misogynistic and anti-PoC; let's wake that tea up," one person said in response to the video. "The security guard's behavior is really strange," another person said.

"So, is it safe to say that the Cannes Film Festival condones and endorses such behavior from security, especially from the same guard who treated Kelly Rowland similarly?" Someone else commented.

At the premiere of Marcello Mio on May 23, a video of Kelly Rowland yelling at the same security guy surfaced online. "The lady is aware of what transpired. It all made sense to me. That is it. I have boundaries, and I stick to them. Moreover, I didn't reprimand, shove, or force other ladies who didn't resemble me to leave the carpet. She felt compelled to maintain her position, but Rowland insisted on standing her ground, she told the Associated Press.
