Is Lebanese singer Dolly Shahine about to pull a Sherine on us?
A few months ago, Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab claimed to have quit showbiz altogether. Three days later, she returned back to her musical activities. Yeah, go figure.
As for Dolly, it was this week that she announced that she is quitting singing to dedicate her life to Jesus and taking care of her family.
But now her hubby, Lebanese director Bakhoos Elwan, says his wife has been going through a "rough patch" this week and he doesn't know where her decision to quit music has come from.
"I was surprised to receive a phone call from Dolly telling me that she has quit showbiz to take care of our daughter and for no other direct reason. She's been going through a rough time for the past three days," said Bakhoos.
Things got even weirder when Bakhoos revealed that Dolly has left their marital home to stay with one of her girl friends.
"Despite not having had a fight, Dolly is currently staying with one of her friends. Her close friends and I are trying to get through to her and convince her to go back on her decision," Bakhoos added.
