Credited sources in Damascus Syria for the ‘Al Arabia.net’ have discovered new details regarding the identity of prominent Iraqi director Adnan Ibrahim, who has been residing in Syria, killer. Sources revealed that the killer is also of Iraqi nationality and is said to be one of his close contacts.
Scenarist Ahmad Hamid stated that he was inside the office of the late director at the time the murder took place and had overheard screams and shouts and when he opened his office door found him killed.
Adnan, 58 years of age, was killed last Saturday after being stabbed in the neck. He had been residing in Syria for a large number of years. Adnan had married prominent Syrian actress Salma Al Masri and stayed with her for a period of 10 years. He had then married actress Norman Asaad and had gotten a divorce after two years only.
The credited sources assert that the killer, who is Iraqi, had worked with Adnan and was very close to him. It was added that even though his identity is known it will not be revealed in order to expedite the process of arresting him.
With regards to rumors that stated that the director’s death was over financial and political issues, it was stated that on the contrary it was over personal matters due to the fact that the killer is someone close to Adnan.
