Dima Kandalaft is no stranger to the acting world, having made a name for herself as one of the Arab world's top actresses. However, the Syrian star is now going back to another form of art: singing.
On Monday, Dima will film her first ever Christmas music video and album in celebration of the Holidays.
The music video will be reportedly filmed in one of the hotels in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
Dima told Laha Magazine that her decision to make music was a humanitarian one, not an artistic one.
The 37-year-old Christian starlet stressed that she wants her music to deliver an important humanitarian message, in addition to spreading joy in the Arab world around this time of year - especially that there have been violent anti-religious acts taking place in the region, such as the recent attacks on the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo.
Dima noted that the Arab world no longer feels the same joy as it once did around Christmas time, and she hopes her music will be a reason for people to unite and find happiness.
