Did social media bully Lizzo into going to the Gym?

ALBAWABA - Grammy-award winner and American singer Lizzo went viral across social media after a video of her at the gym circulated online with many people claiming that she was "cyberbullied into working out to lose weight." 

The video in question showcased Lizzo who appears to have lost some weight, doing several workout routines as many social media users claimed that body shaming" does in fact work despite it sounding hateful and mean. 

"Body positivity" has become quite an issue to many people globally as they claim that some might not understand the true meaning behind it. Some would say that body positivity doesn't mean that "It's ok to be fat," but to accept that you are and work towards a better and healthier lifestyle. 

Did the internet bully Lizzo into going to the Gym?

Many users on X (formerly known as Twitter) took to several comment sections discussing Lizzo's video. Here's what some had to say: 

"That's so awesome. Bullying (body shaming) appears to be working. She's probably losing a lot of her stupid political opinions as an added bonus of all the pounds she's losing."

Keemstar wrote, "Congrats to Lizzo, it's great to see this. So many fat losers have so many excuses. Shut up & get in the gym the time is now! "I have a medical condition," ok, keep being fat and do nothing about it loser!"

"The fact that she chose to change because of the internet will lead to a MASSIVE shift in culture and I’m not even joking."

Many also speculated that Lizzo's transformation could've been an aftermath of the popular animated show, 'South Park' where she was referenced. 

She said on Instagram, "Guys, my worst fear has been actualized. I’ve been referenced in a South Park episode. I’m so scared." 

During the episode, Cartman finds out about the weight loss drug, 'Ozempic' which many celebrities nowadays are rumored to have used, then he finds out that he can't afford it, so he gets introduced to a new drug called 'Lizzo'.
