Diana Haddad, Lebanese singer and TV star, goes shoulder to shoulder with Hollywood's legend Jean-Claude Van Damme and  daredevil Felix - and recent pheonomeonon to have propelled himself into our celebosphere - to climb Dubai's highest proverbial mountain. Haddad has reached Burj-Khalifa's pinnacle as a special guest, courtesy of the makers of the tower.

Maybe an unlikely candidate for the job, but this woman - who holds Emirati nationality - is the first female to straddle Dubai's skyline this way. The guest elevators take you to the 160 th floor and from there on up to level 164, it's free-styling by stairs. Invited by the  burj authorities to be the first female celeb to pull it off, Diana graciously signed the guestbook as she took in the breathaking panorama of the tower paradise.

Some might be struck by fear of heights or vertigo, exposed on an open-air ladder atop Burj Khalifa, but the camera-courting star was pefectly comfortable conquering the world's highest tower in full view, posing for the flashing lenses and hogging the record books. The PR stunt-queen looked quite at home with her head in the clouds as she strutted her Lebanese show-woman stuff.

Her fearless feat earnt her a stylish award from the administration for doing the honors. Presented to her by an Emirati state poet on behalf of the Burj Khalifa crew, she took the crystal model tower with a thank you speech fawning over her hosts and their prosperous country, paying homage to the UAE and its proud heritage of which she has a passport stake in.

The Mile Highest club

Diana Haddad did confess to a wobble when describing her 'touristic' acheivement. She reportedly found this climb more daunting than all the other great towers she'd scaled from Malaysia to the World Trade Center.

Back to earth with a bump, she leaves this dizzy precipice for the next opportunistic celebrity to get a foot-hold in, following on the intrepid heels of sky-diver Felix and action-hero Van-Damme.

What do you think of Diana's daring Dubai challenge? Are you impressed of her fearless Burj Khalifa climb or do you see this as just another PR stunt to sell albums and drive traffic to Dubai's edifice?
