ALBAWABA - Football star Cristiano Ronaldo and internet content creator IShowSpeed recently made headlines after raising more than $100,000 for a Portuguese kid named Francisco who spent two weeks in a coma after tragically losing his parents and little sister due to an explosion in Portugal.
According to users on X (formerly known as Twitter), Francisco was the only survivor from his family including his sister as well making him an orphan. IShowSpeed and Cristiano Ronaldo caught wind of the matter and made it possible to donate and raise more than $109,000 in a month.
A video of IShowSpeed was shared across social media telling Francisco that he will be meeting Cristiano Ronaldo and other players from Portugal's national football team. Moreover, It showcased them all hugging him while they took pictures together.

During the video, Francisco said that his favorite sport is "Soccer" and that his favorite player is Ronaldo too.
IShowSpeed was heard saying, "I'm sorry for your loss man, and I heard about all your story...you're a strong kid, you hear me, Francisco?"
He added, "I have a surprise for you, okay? You will be meeting Ronaldo, you will be meeting the GOAT Francisco! Keep going man, I love you, bro."
The 13-year-old lost both of his parents and little sister due to a butane gas leak in Brunheiras, Vila Nova de Milfontes on Jun. 26, 2024. Both his mother and his sister died and the incident took place while his father died in the hospital.
During the video embedded above, Francisco showed the devastating burn injuries he faced due to the explosion which included his arms and torso area.
A fund page was initiated by an individual named Zachery Dereniowski who first introduced the internet to Francisco on Aug. 14, 2024, and asked his 5.5 million followers to donate money for the kid.
By the time of writing this article, Dereniowski still has the donation link for Francisco in his Instagram bio and the goal has risen to $150,000.
