ALBAWABA - Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor and YouTuber Logan Paul went viral after announcing the possibility of a boxing match taking place in India. The announcement took the internet by storm, as sports fans recalled the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson which received mixed reactions across the board.
The former UFC champion also slammed rumors about him making a return to UFC by fighting fellow martial artist, Ilia Topuria.
McGregor took to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, "The rumors of a bout with Topurio are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon."

One X user wrote in reply to Conor McGregor, "Thanks for the big update Conor. This will be fire."
Other fans wrote in concern that the fight might be rigged from the get-go, in reference to the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson where the nearly 60-year-old boxer lost.
"Please don’t let it be fixed like the Tyson one!"
Controversial YouTuber Logan Paul has been involved in several boxing matches including his fights with fellow YouTuber KSI, Floyd Mayweather, and Dillon Danis.
Logan Paul has also been part of the WWE as a professional wrestler where he received the "United States Championship" belt from Rey Mysterio by hitting him with brass knuckles. In 2024, Logan Paul announced stepping back from WWE to spend more time with his family and newborn baby.
On the other hand, many sports fans told McGregor to back down as he's further "destroying his legacy" by fighting Logan Paul and not making a comeback to his craft for six years.
By the time of writing this article, it's still not been officially confirmed when the bout between the two will happen.
