Thousands of Mohammed Assaf's fans chanted his name as they welcomed him onto the stage before his Amman concert kicked off on Friday night, reported Bitajarod.
The Palestinian superstar held the mega successful show at the Amman Ahliyya University's Arena Theater. In the spirit of all things charitable, the concert was organized by the Research Centre for Refugee Studies (RCRS) to honor the memory of Palestinian and Jordanian martyrs.
Loyal Assafis flew out from all over the region and into the Jordanian capital to watch their favorite Arab Idol in action. Not only was Assaf surrounded by loud cheers from his fans, but many also waved the Palestinian flag in his honor.
There's only one way to describe the evening, it was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!
During his trip to the Kingdom, Assaf visited The King Hussein Cancer Center, where Princess Dina Mired welcomed the UNRWA goodwill ambassador, who presented young cancer patients with special gifts and a private performance of his most-beloved hits.
"I would like to thank Mohammed Assaf for his sweet gesture to visit children at the cancer center, in order to make them feel better and draw a smile on their faces." Princess Dina said, according to Al Arab Al Yawm.
The royal added, "Assaf was able to bring happiness into their hearts, in addition to giving them hope and optimism."
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old star said, "I was happy to see their innocent smiles and I'm proud of what the center is providing for patients from Jordan and the Arab world."
