Yemeni singer Arwa revealed that she kept her engagement and love affair with Lebanese businessman Abd Al Fatah Al Masri a secret, fearing jealousy of her peers.
Arwa said that before she and Abd Al Fatah married, there were circulating rumors that two were engaged in a love affair, but she refused to comment and shortly thereafter publicly announced her marriage.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Arwa said only close friends and family members knew of the relationship and were invited to the wedding, which was a private affair.
“I am enjoying married life and having the best time of my life,” said Arwa.
Arwa said that envy and its dangers are discussed in the holy Quran, but unfortunately many people have this trait, leading her to deny rumors of her relationship until she married.
Arwa denied rumors that her marriage and husband are standing in the way of her career. She said that her husband is very understanding and supportive of her career and always encourages her to excel.
