The famous Egyptian artist Angham denied that she and her Kuwaiti music distributer Fahed have separated due to the way she dresses.
On the entertainment show “Al La’eb Ma Al Kibar” (Playing with Grown-ups), aired on the Egyptian channel, Angham said, “Marrying for a third time is impossible,” and that she wants to be free to raise her two sons and does not want anything to affect her relationship with them.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, Angham also said that if she ever falls in love again, she would sacrifice that love if her sons disapproved and that for the time being she is capable of living without a man.
“I love my sons and they are the greatest gift in my life,” said Angham, adding that she is also grateful that her sons have eachother, because she grew up an only child.
Angham said that both of her marriages have failed because there was no intimacy between her and her ex-husbands. She said that Eastern men often cannot cope with an independent woman who is capable of taking her own decisions. She denied rumors that she divorced her Kuwaiti husband, Fahed, because he did not allow her to wear revealing clothing, but declined to reveal any other details.
As for her music career, Angham said that she loves singing in the ‘Khaliji’ (Gulf countries) dialect and that she is preparing to record ‘Khaliji’ songs. She also said that she and Syrian artist Asala Nasri are searching for a topic for a new duet.
Angham revealed that she suffering from anger control issues, but is improving with the help of God and a strong will. She is being treated by a psychiatric physician and said that admitting her temper problem helped her recover.
