Who’s a ‘liar’? Only the guy in Amal Hijazi’s new song! The Lebanese singer is releasing her latest single “Kaddab” (Liar) today. The song was written by Marcel Madwar, composed by Turkish composer Urmit Sayan and distributed by Naser Al As'ad. The song was previously scheduled for release last summer, but due to the unstable conditions around the Arab world it was delayed to today. Better late than never, we say!
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Amal revealed that she intends on filming a music video for “Liar,” without revealing the name of the director who will be working on the project with her. When asked which music video and director most attracted her attention in 2013, Amal said that she wasn’t impressed with any, but noted that she was impressed with the style of director Angie Jamal and may work with her on her new clip.
With regards to her family life, Amal said: “I thank God for giving me my two sons and daughter, for they are the most precious gift I have ever received in my life.” She added that she dedicates a large portion of her time to her family and raising her kids. That’s a good Mama right there. Amal said that she named her daughter "Larin," which means one of the keys to the gate of the holy Ka'ba, because she gave birth to her during the holy month of Ramadan. The singer said that the name really appealed to her and she wanted to name her daughter a traditional, religious and unique name.
On a different note, Amal is preparing to launch her new album in 2014, but has not yet set a specific release date. The singer has already selected the majority of the songs to go in the album, which will be her last with the production company “Rotana.”
