After a successful partnership that lasted for years, Lebanese singer Alissa and composer/music distributor Jan Marie have separated. Sources reveal that the separation came as a result of differences of opinion; the two “stopped seeing eye to eye.”

The last album the two worked on was Alissa’s latest release “Ahla Dunia” (The Perfect World). The singer has already begun sessions with different composers as part of her preparations for her upcoming album, as well as beginning her search for a new music distributor.

Alissa, who has been in Cairo for the past week, has just completed the recording of a new duet with international singer Chab Mami. The rumor of the duet had been circulating for some time, but the singer and her managing office had refused to make a public announcement or reveal any details about it.

The duet was recorded at the ART studios in Cairo and the song is titled “Halili Duniaia” (Make My World Beautiful). It is unknown whether it will be released as a single or if it will be incorporated into Alissa’s upcoming album.

Aside from recording the duet, Alissa met with a number of prominent Egyptian poets and composers to select songs for her new album.

Alissa has completed shooting her latest music video for the song “Hubbak Waja,” the third from her latest album. The clip for the tremendously popular song was filmed in a mansion in one of Lebanon’s suburbs, and filming lasted for three days.
