Multi-talented Egyptian actor and former Arab Idol star, Ahmad Fahmi, has been released on bail following an appeal against a court sentence for money laundering.
The Al Sayidah Zaynab Court in Cairo released Fahmi on 10,000 Egyptian pounds bail after he was given a 15-day jail term for laundering 800,000 Egyptian pounds.
Fahmi had claimed on his Twitter account the dosh was in fact his own, and that the Cairo bank that brought the charges against him was trying to steal his savings.
