ALBAWABA - Lebanese actress Nadine Nassib Njeim was heavily rebuked after posting a photo of herself enjoying a McDonald's meal right before her flight.
Pro-Palestinian activists lashed out at the beauty pageant titleholder and accused her of supporting Israeli occupation amid the ongoing bloody war in Gaza, during which over 28,000 people have been killed since Oct. 7.
Activists have been boycotting loads of brands and fast food chains that have been sending free meals to the Israeli military or announcing support for Israeli occupation such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and Nestle.

Nadine Nassib Njeim after the accusation of supporting Israel posted videos on her Instagram story appologyzing to her fans.
She said: "Guys I just wanted to tell you that I know that you were angered and you have the right to take this reaction. I am very sorry." "When I posted my story (while having McDonald's) I didn't intend to promote McDonald's and I don't even care about it."
Nadine Nassib Njeim further added that she is usually used to having a McDonald's meal before all her flights and she only wanted to share what she does with her fans.

The 2024 series star, which is coming during Ramadan, also noted that she is not supporting Israel. "It happens and I really forgot about it," Nadine maintained.
"I'm very sorry if the story made you upset," Njeim apologized to fans and said that she was not mad about those who wrote offensive comments and announced that she is a huge supporter of the Palestinian cause.

The heavy backlash comes shortly after director Philip Asmar posted the official poster of the long-awaited series 2024, which is the second season of the 2020 series.
The 2024 Ramadan series is hosting many Lebanese and Syrian stars including Nadine Nassib Njeim and Mohammed Al Ahmad.
