They've been in showbiz for over 45 years together, so it's no wonder Egyptian comedy icon Adel Imam postponed his son's upcoming wedding after his lifelong friend Egyptian acting legend Nour el Sherif passed away on Tuesday.
Nour died at the age of 69 after a long battle with illness.
When the sad news broke out, Imam was enjoying a much-needed vacation on the northern coast of Egypt. The holiday was cut short to attend the late star's funeral, which will be held at the Shorta Mosque in the October 6 Cairo suburb on Wednesday, reported Al Watan Voice.
While a big wedding bash was planned for Imam's son Mohammed on Saturday, he told "Youm 7" that the decision to reschedule was made "immediately and without hesitation."
"How can I possibly be happy when my friend and colleague passed away just a few hours ago?," Imam told "Youm 7."
When will the happy couple get to make it official? Imam said that a new wedding date is soon to be announced.
